FORMER SWIMMERS OF JOHNNY GALVICH SET UP MEMORIAL FUND!!!
The above individuals set up a John Galvich Scholarship
upon the death of Johnny Galvich. The article is in small print and
difficult to read. Therefore, I will repeat it here: The late John Galvich,
veteran KYF swim coach who produced swimmers of national championship
stature, will be memorialized in a $200 scholarship which will go to a
Bradford High School student annually. Some of his former swimmers who
feel they profited greatly from Johnny's leadership and dedication to the
sport he loved, gathered at the KYF Saturday to establish the fund.
Contributions from others interested in seeing the size of the scholarship
grow are invited. Contributors can contact Robert Kueny, center rear.
Others shown are, front, from left, Al Kueny, John Strom, secretary of the
Kenosha Foundation, a philanthropic fund which will handle the money, and
Paul Schutt. Rear are Robert Baker, Kueny and Frank D. Ruffalo |
