Ed (Eddie) Kin - One of the Best!!!!
Eddie began swimming as a young child and developed into a National Champion/All American Swimmer. This is what Johnny loved to see his swimmers accomplish. At the young age of 13, he was the Winner of the Junior National 1500 meter Freestyle Championship.  Eddie was also the 1959 Jr. National Outdoor Champion in the 400m I.M. In 1959, Eddie placed 4th in the  Senior Men's Indoor Nationals in the 1500m freestyle where he had to compete against the best in College Swimming...Eddie was still in high school at the time.
Eddie later went on to swim for The University of Cincinnati where he continued to excel in the sport.

 

Johnny with 1959 Pan American Swimmers Becky Collins and Donna Graham. Becky brought home a Gold Medal in the Butterfly.


John's Swimmer: Becky Collins, National and World Record Breaker and Multi-All American!!! Becky set a NEW WORLD RECORD of 2:37.0s in the 220y Butterfly on July 19th, 1959 

Johnny and Donna Graham. Donna  led the 1958, 1959 and 1960 Riviera Long Distance Women's National Swim Team to Victory.  Donna has since passed away.

William (Bill) Utley.. POWERFUL National AAU Swim Champion trained under Johnny at the Riviera Club where he set many  Jr. National Age Group Records. Bill later went on to swim for Doc. Councilman at Indiana University where he continued to rank in the top performers.

Johnny's 1959 and 1960 Women's Senior National Long Distance Championship Team. Donna Graham, Nancy Galvich and Patsy Harrower. All three were selected for the All American Team in 1959 and again in 1960. Back then, only 14 women were selected for the All American Team
