Johnny's Men's Swimming Team One of the last pictures taken before
Johnny passed away. Unfortunately someone gave my little brother Pete an
ink marker and he circled his head and wrote RIVI on his father's shirt.

Bill Cass...This picture was taken when Bill Cass was swimming
unattached from Indianapolis and training under Johnny Galvich. He was one
of the favorites in the meet and was expected to give George Breen his
stiffest competition for the Individual Crown. He defeated George Breen at
the Philadelphia swim meet two weeks prior in the 200 meters. Cass was the
surprise swimmer at Philadelphia. |
